On behalf of the entire staff of GCM, many apologies for the lack of updated information on this blog since late October. That will begin to change this week, however. We'll begin to wrap up the posts from superintendent Randy Smith, who oversees maintenance at Riverlands Golf and Country Club in La Place, La., who describes his course's recovery from the effects of Hurricane Katrina. And I'll be boarding a plane later this afternoon for Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the Carolinas GCSA conference and show, the largest chapter event in the country. I'll post live Tuesday and Wednesday with updates from the trade show floor and from a variety of conference events, including a state-of-the-game conversation featuring GCSAA CEO Steve Mona, CAE and the president of the PGA of America, Roger Warren.
I haven't been hearing much about paspalum recently. What is the latest on paspalum success in the southwest and west? Is there a difference?
Thank you,
Ben Hills
