We have company!

When it comes to blogs that focus exclusively on the business of golf course management, we pretty much stand alone on an island. There are other entities in the industry that actually own the URL to a blog, but much like the old proverb about the tree that falls in the forest, I always wonder if it's really a blog if the owners never actually use it?

Well, thanks to the eagle eyes of Bill Newton in our communications department, we've found a blog that we're proud to share cyberspace with -- a blog produced by the maintenance staff at Northland Country Club in Duluth, Minn. Chris Tritabaugh, a nine-year member of GCSAA, is the superintendent at Northland and he has carved out a rather active slice of the blogosphere, focused on the maintenance activities at his 18-hole private club. Even at this time of year, when very little golf is being played in state's like Minnesota, Tritabaugh is keeping the flow of information going, informing the club's members about his staff's activities in preparation for spring.

So to Chris, a tip of our brand new, shiny GCM hat (more on those to come!) for this great use of technology. If you've got a similar story to tell about how you use technology to keep your patrons informed about maintenance activities at your facility, let me know. I'll give your efforts a little love right here on our blog and add you to the list of our favorite Web sites and blogs that we'll be adding here very soon.
