Sometimes, it is better to be lucky than good. Tuesday afternoon, luck was on my side.
Bill Newton, GCSAA's media/public relations manager and my cohort in Louisville this week, and I were in the maintenance area chatting with Valhalla superintendent Mark Wilson when his cell phone rang. "Hey Paul, how's it going?" he said. Turns out, it really was THAT Paul — U.S. Ryder Cup captain Paul Azinger — and he was calling to see if it would be OK if he stopped by to say a few words to the troops.
Five minutes later, he was there. And what you see here is a large part of what he said. I was taking photos of the occasion at first before it dawned on me I could record the event for posterity in video. So forgive the choppy start and enjoy the nice things that 'Zinger had to say about the maintenance team at Valhalla.
Hitting the bus back to the hotel soon, but more later tonight.
Great video - can't wait for this tournament

Thanks for the comments, fellas. A gold mine of stuff from yesterday. I'll be working in the media center most of the day on getting it all out there until Mark hits the Golf Channel at 3 Eastern today. Tune in and check it out!
