Still haven't decided whether you're hitting the road for New Orleans and the 2009 GCSAA Education Conference and Golf Industry Show? Well maybe this will help — the association is putting together a special session designed to offer superintendents tips and ideas on making ends meet during these tough economic times.
Here's the official word:
In response to the budget crunches and economic challenges that golf facilities everywhere are now facing, we’ve put together a special session at the conference and show to allow you to share your money-saving strategies and learn what others are doing to accomplish more with less. Called “Member to Member: Solutions for Tough Times,” this informal discussion will be held on Friday, Feb. 5 from 3-5 p.m. in Room 268. Two familiar instructors will be kicking off the discussion — veteran superintendent Bill Maynard, CGCS, and Bud White, the USGA’s senior agronomist for the Mid-Continent Region. We hope you’ll join us and your fellow superintendents for a great working session that is sure to result in new ideas to bring back to your facility. If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Clopton for more information.
