For almost as long as I've been a part of GCM (over ten years now) I have had superintendents ask me if I could get their dog in the dog calendar. It was always a slightly awkward moment telling them that GCM/GCSAA didn't host the dog calendar, it was actually put out by a rival publication...
But now? Go ahead and ask me about the dog calendar, because it's all ours, baby!
GCSAA just announced "The Dog Days of Golf" calendar, sponsored by Lebanon Turf. You can enter your dog in the contest by going to www.gcsaa.org/dogcalendar. High-resolution photos of your dogs will be accepted through Aug. 2nd, and Lebanon will be selecting 14 dogs that will be in the 2011 calendar. The "Dog of the Year" contest will then be held at Lebanon's booth at the 2011 GIS in Orlando.
