We have a new fun little side project here at GCSAA HQ, where we're setting up an area for employees to display their hidden talents.
So you walk through there and you see something that's just amazing -- say a hand-stitched quilt, stained glass, a hand-made bowl, etc. And you look at it and say, "Wow, I had no idea (name) in (work department) had that kind of talent!"
That's the exact same thing that happened to me when I got a press release announcing that Carmen Magro, VP of agronomy for UgMo underground soil moisture sensors, has teamed up with a producer and now has a single available for download on iTunes.
Wait a second, the guy doesn't just know turf, but he also is a musician? With a single on iTunes?
Yes indeed. His first song is called "America."
In his own words:
My first song, America, has been officially released and now available on iTunes for download. You can find out more about my music at www.MySpace.com/carmenmagro and can also find me on Facebook. I hope you enjoy it as it is a strong passion of mine to share!
Best of luck, Carmen, with your side project in music! Maybe we could get a live performance this year in Orlando?
I'd love to do it! Just say when!!
Thank you for the comments as it certainly is a passion I enjoy in my life!
Carmen
