Mark Woodward, CGCS has found his next challenge in the golf industry.
Woodward, who stepped down from his position as the CEO of GCSAA in June to pursue other career interests, has found those interests with golf course construction and renovation firm Landscapes Unlimited. Although his exact title with the company wasn't included in a release from the company, Woodward will focus on advancing the company's "strategic business interests in both the public and private sectors," according to the release. He will work out of the company's offices in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Woodward and Landscapes Unlimited have a relationship dating back to the company's work on the South Course at Torrey Pines in advance of the 2008 U.S. Open, which Woodward hosted as the golf operations manager for the city of San Diego, the post he held prior to coming to GCSAA.
