The slate of candidates for spots on GCSAA's board of directors in 2012 is all set.
The election will take palce March 2 during the annual meeting at the 2012 GCSAA Education Conference and Golf Industry Show in Las Vegas. Voting members will elect three officers and two directors from the following individuals:
For president: Sandy G. Queen, CGCS, City of Overland Park, Kan.
For vice president: Patrick R. Finlen, CGCS, The Olympic Club, San Francisco, Calif.
For secretary/treasurer: Keith A. Ihms, CGCS, Country Club of Little Rock (Ark.); and John J. O'Keefe, CGCS, Preakness Hills Country Club, Wayne, N.J.
For director (electing two): Rafael Barajas, CGCS, Hacienda Golf Club, La Habra Heights, Calif.; Darren J. Davis, Olde Florida Golf Club, Naples, Fla.; Mark F. Jordan, CGCS, Westfield Group Country Club, Westfield Center, Ohio; and Bill H. Maynard, CGCS, Milburn Golf and Country Club, Shawnee Mission, Kan.
Peter J. Grass, CGCS at Hilands Golf Club in Billings, Mont., will remain on the board with one year remaining in his two-year terms. Robert M. Randquist, CGCS will serve on the board as immediate past president during 2012, while James R. Fitzroy, CGCS, will retire from the board.
Both secretary/treasurer candidates have one year remaining in their director terms, so the board will fill the secretary/treasurer's vacated director seat by appointment following the election.
