The Environmental Institute for Golf will be getting a boost from some of golf's legendary players this summer.
For the second consecutive year, the Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship has donated $10,000 to GCSAA's philanthropic organization. The event is one of five majors contested on the Champions Tour each year. This year, Fox Chapel Country Club in Pittsburgh, Pa. — where nine-year GCSAA member Jason Hurwitz serves as the Class A superintendent — will play host to the event.
"We are appreciative of Constellation Energy, the PGA Tour and the countless number of volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to not only provide world-class golf events, but also contribute to charitable causes," said GCSAA President Bob Randquist, CGCS. Randquist also serves as chairman of the EIFG Board of Trustees. "These funds go directly to the development and operation of programs that advance the sustainable management of golf facilities."
