There is no doubt the low rough lining the holes of Medinah CC's famed Course No. 3 at the Ryder Cup will lead to some exciting moments during the three days of competition this week.
Nowhere will this be more obvious than the par 5, 590-yard 10th hole. Look for the big hitters to let it all out as they try to hit the green in two shots. Despite the rough already being low at 1 1/4 inches, a mower could be seen going back over what was already cut on Tuesday.
Overheard from a member of the golf course maintenance staff, “Bubba Watson made it clear on this hole where he planned to hit it off the tee. He said he would really like to be able to go for it in two from there.”
