A popular source of hard-core business training for golf course superintendents is now accepting applications for its 2013 event.
The Syngenta Business Institute, conducted in conjunction with the Wake Forest University School of Business, is entering its fifth year and offers superintendents the opportunity to enhance their business and leadership skills. Sessions focus on financial and human resource management, delegations skills, effective communications and negotiation skills, managing generational differences and more.
Tony Girardi, CGCS, from Rockrimmon CC in Stamford, Conn., and a past SBI attendee, said of the event: “What an outstanding education program. Everything from the initial submission to the professional education sessions were all over the top. The faculty went out of their way ensuring the material was relevant to our profession and I learned a great deal I can directly use in my day-to-day operation.”
This year's event will take place Dec. 6-9 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
