They are throwing quite a party at The Pete Dye Golf Club.
In fact, the renowned designer is right in the middle of the hoopla.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the West Virginia course, Dye is participating in the celebration that starts today and continues tomorrow. There also is a golf clinic scheduled with major champions Nick Price and Mark O'Meara, who are ambassadors for Pacific Links International (PLI), owner of the course, which is located on 248 acres that feature spectacular Appalachian mountain views.
Golf Digest rated the course No. 46 on its list of America's 100 Greatest Courses.
The club will unveil its new putting course and hold a raffle for a chance to play in a nine-hole scramble with PLI ambassadors. Proceeds from raffle sales will benefit Medbrook Children's Charity, a nonprofit organization that aids underprivileged children.
