If you think they are taking what probably should be a well deserved breather at Pinehurst No. 2, erase that thought.
The break in the action is on hold. For a while.
Now that they have hosted back-to-back major championships, which concluded Sunday as Michelle Wie joined Martin Kaymer as the men and women champions, respectively, Pinehurst No. 2's calendar is far from clear. It is a schedule that will remain hectic until at least Labor Day.
"There always is something to keep you going. Always something to challenge you," says Pinehurst No. 2 assistant superintendent Alan Owen. "We will be ready for that challenge."
Make that challenges.
