Nominations are being accepted for GCM's 2015 Most Valuable Technician Award (MVT) presented in partnership with Foley United.
March 27 is the deadline for nominations. Go online to www.gcsaa.org and search Most Valuable Technician to locate the nomination form. Nominations also will be accepted at the Golf Industry Show next month in San Antonio, Texas, at both the GCM and Foley United booths.
The MVT program is designed to honor the best and brightest golf course equipment technicians in the industry, the men and women who play such a key role in keeping the tools of golf course maintenance up and running.
The nominations will be narrowed to a field of three finalists by a team of industry judges. GCM readers will then be able to review the resumes and qualifications of the finalists and vote online for their favorite in April.
The winner of the MVT contest is scheduled to be announced in the July issue of GCM.
Joe Stefanick, equipment technician at Seven Lakes Golf and Tennis Community in Fort Myers, Fla., received the MVT Award in 2014.
