The entrance to Indian Wells. The Celebrity and Players courses here are hosting tournament play.
The clubhouse at Indian Wells might be the coolest golf clubhouse I've ever seen. And yep, that is a waterfall in front.
Thursday night's Welcoming Reception was held outdoors at La Quinta Resort and Club. They call the big glowing globe a "moon ball." Puts out a fair amount of light.
And now it's Friday and the Four-Ball Competition, this one on the Mountain Course at La Quinta. You'll see some player shots, but they'll lack IDs since I ... well, lack IDs. I'll just try and ID which hole they're playing.
So, this is the par-4 10th.
Greenside bunker on the 10th hole. I show you this just so you can see me catching the flying sand and ball in the frame. Photography, everyone!
Now the money shot ... High atop one of the multiple tees playing into the par-3 16th. Ridiculous views.
This is how they mow the tiny top tee at 16. Too much of a hike for a real mower, so this old-school push mower is here permanently.
And just for fun since I'm in Palm Springs, a shot my wife texted me a little while ago from the backyard of my home in Olathe, Kan. Just shy of six inches of snow fell today.
