Adam Moeller has been promoted to the director of Green Section Education and Outreach at the USGA.
Also, it was announced that Jim Moore, director of Green Section Education, is retiring. So is his wife, Kay, an administrative assistant for the Mid-Continent Region. Their retirements are effective June 1.
Moeller joined the USGA in 2008. He has served as an agronomist in the Northeast Region for eight years, working with the USGA Course Consulting Service and as an agronomist at multiple USGA championships. He is continuing some of those responsibilities this summer as he transitions into his new role.
The Moores, meanwhile, both joined the USGA Green Section in 1984. Jim Moore was instrumental in leading and coordinating the collaboration of the 2004 revision of the "USGA Recommendations For a Method of Putting Green Construction."
Jim is pillar in the industry, great friend and will be missed by all.
