The predominant story to come out of Tuesday at the 2017 U.S. Open — at least as far as Erin Hills' maintenance team is concerned — was the weather. Specifically, the heavy rain that fell Monday night (almost an inch and three quarters) and the Tuesday morning storm that added another quarter inch to the mix and chased workers from the course for nearly two hours.
